Google Presents Interactive 360° Storytelling on YouTube

Just when we thought we had seen everything the Internet has to offer, Google and YouTube give us a glimpse into the future.

The most popular search engine and the global video-sharing website bring us a world with 360° storytelling in video with the latest technology for mobile. The first short film was made by the Academy Award-winning studio Aardman Animations, which is behind projects such as ‘Shaun the Sheep’ and ‘Wallace and Gromit’. It is named ‘Special Delivery’ and tells us the story of a humble caretaker who cannot find the mysterious troublemaker in his building, who leaves nothing but some gifts behind – suspicious, isn’t it?

Now you can choose your favorite angle to watch the story, which allows you to spot this special invader as the caretaker goes up and down the building.

Google Spotlight Stories is currently available on the YouTube app for some Android devices. You may have to update your YouTube app to watch it on your mobile. Google aims to expand this 360° storytelling experience to more Android Devices and the YouTube iOS app next year.

What a great way to end 2015. We can’t wait for the novelties 2016 has for us!

Check out the short film and explore all the surprises of the story 🙂
